New Year's Resolutions

Mine:
1.) Lose 20 pounds by July-that's only 3 pounds a month.
2.) Keep up with my personal finances better and come out of next summer's electric bill on the better end.
3.) Speaking of electricity...fix up the pool in the backyard.
4.) Make it through the year without taking on another animal.

That shouldn't be too hard or unrealistic, right? K-time to get started.

Crazy Day Today

Not a bad day. We slept in a bit. Ahhh.....

...Yesterday they brought me breakfast in bed....today...I was poking them!

My afternoon went a lil crazy with a quick road trip of curiosity.

The girls both have their bff's over to spend the night. The first one out was my lil one. It had to be someone! Next, and nowhere close behind was her bff. The other two? Well, I heard thumping and giggling about five minutes ago.

I always feel obligated to stay up with them until everyone is asleep and tucked in nice and tight. But its now 2:00am, I think I'm more obligated to not falling asleep during church service tomorrow.

I'm screaming uncle and heading to my bed to see if there is any room for me. If not, then it's a Netflix movie on demand in the lazy chair.

I'm working on adding more to this little blog. My twitter and weight loss tracker are the two I'm interested in so far. Next it would be a miracle if I could merge my other blog and this one together as one powerful force....or just one blog. Either way.

Yawn. Off to search high and low for a spot to rest my leary head.

Back.

I haven't updated in..... 4 months? That's not that bad is it?

Well, lil one LOVES kindergarden and is doing very well. She has a very patient and caring teacher that she adores. No big problems so far and she was nominated for Gifted and Talented by a couple of the teachers......no big surprise there--apple doesn't fall too far from the tree...ya know?

Big one has a love/ no-love relationship with her school. She likes the lockers....has trouble with the combination. She has a boyfriend...no I don't approve--but will admit that he's a good kid from a good family. I just think they're way too young for this stuff. Her grades are pretty good...A/B honor roll.

Me? I am digging the job. It's getting better each day. I love learning and this has been a whole new world for me. I'm pretty impressed with the owners and pretty much all that work there. Everyone has great interest in trying to get the job done right and efficiently. I'm still adding on to my Excel skills everyday....talk about a love /hate relationship. Excel is great...but can get complicated when working with big books.

I'll try to keep up.

I'm adding a graph on the side for my weight loss. It seems that when I strained my ankle in June and July I had trouble running for awhile. I'm getting back into it...but I packed on some weight in the meantime. Summer is right around the corner. I'm getting serious to get it off!

First days....great!!

Lil one....first day at kindergarten.

So far....triple thumbs up!!

We played the high/low game at dinner and here are the results:

Mama: Low- missing coworkers rolling their eyes at terrible sense of humor.
High-everyone was very nice, answered all questions and were patient with me.

Big en': High-got to eat lunch with all her friends from elementary school that she missed during the summer.
Low-having trouble operating that silly locker.

The morning went pretty smooth. We pulled off some last minute shopping this weekend (thanks Christi for that 20% off coupon....saved...well....20%!!!). We laid out all of our clothes, had lunch ready to throw together and mama's power drink (Bad Girl) in the fridge!

Intermediate school was first on the list since we didn't get to meet the teacher last week at Meet the Teacher Night.....since the school didn't have the classroom lists assigned just yet. Eek!!

We got there early and beat the traffic....straight to classroom to find other girls we knew in our homeroom class!! Hapiness. Kisses by all, pics taken....tears fell to the floor by mama. Ugh.

Next stop...Elementary. Very impressed with the organization of the parking, dropping off and traffic control. There were employees of the school, volunteer parents and plenty of police...which I'm sure were at every school.

Yes, lil one led mom straight to class room, lil one runs right in her classroom like she owns it and tells mom to hit the road! I think a couple more of those tears fell.

Off to mom's first day.....fretted over payroll until one, emailed to main office and was much much happier after that. Rumor has it that mama is going to the main office for lunch and orientation on second day.

New Job!!

After two crazy weeks of trying to find myself....
....a new job found me .

Yes its true. I am starting a new job on Monday. I am nervous and excited at the same time. I have been at my current job for six and a half years. I am going to miss my coworkers that I think of like family.

I'm so bad with keeping up on this thang.

The girls went to Branson, MI for a week with their Dad. Me super missed me some little girls.

They just got back home tonight. Yea!!

I spent a lot of time at work and play practice this week.

I am playing the role of Miss Willlie in The Curious Savage. So far so good. It's not a big part, but still a good one. I'm used to being cast as a dingish blonde...but this role is different. More on that later.

For now.....off to bed.

Diary of a Pool #1

We have a shell for an above ground pool in the backyard complete with a deck built around it. there is an electrical outlet near by and we also have a working water well.

We got tired of looking at it.

This pic is actually after the third time we've hopped in there and worked a bit. We're gonna take it slow this month since it is so hot outside.

Been Awhile...

....Since my last post....BUT

maybe, just maybe....tee, hee, hee.....

I'll keep up with it this time.

Today was a super busy and tiring day.

The girls stayed with dad the last two nights even though it is "my weekend". I suffered from a horrible allergy attack over the last couple of days. Notagood.

I walked in the night clinic, threw thirty bucks at the check in lady....within twenty minutes doc hooked me up with some good stuff. Yea....

So I went home, called Mr. Dad and they were at the grandparents fixin' to walk out the door to eat. He offered to keep them one more night to further my rehabilitation. I wasn't exactly thrilled, yet I didn't hesitate to konk right out.

So I awake this morn, test out the new allergy drugs (yes plural) two this morn and one more to pick up from the pharmacy as soon as I find that silly insurance card.

I picked up some lunch meat, bread, apples, chips and propell waters (that were on sell 3 for $10) and off to meet sweet Nana at the zoo.

Fun times by all. I played with the telephoto lens most of the time. Something isn't right with it. The manual switch is the only mode that it will work in.....and apparantly with my bad eyes....

The wide angle is great, but the camera's flash won't work with either lens.

Back at home--lil one and I stumbled in for a nap...she spent three seconds in protest, followed by a yawn and ended with the sound of sweet snoring.

We awoke to find me running late for a bacherlorette party that I should be attending and taking pics at....yet my head is back in full blown allergy head. Yuk.

I managed to wiggle my way over there and had quite the shock as to the theme.......we won't go there in this family friendly blog....that at the moment is private. But still........

So now, I'm loading the pics....that I don't appear in any of them....and I will appreciate my subjects very much for all the entertainment. I'll still be giggling tomorrow.

Arrival at home....first night to run next door and care for the animals that belong to the neighbors that went out of town today. Sweet family.....3 dogs, 2 cats, 2 bunnies, 1...yep...1 fish, dad, mom, 4yo bro, 2 yo bro, and one in mama's belly--gender undetermined at this point.

For now....off to bed.

My dear sweet mother (who might be aging) just threatened me with my baby pictures.

Note to anyone....there's probably a chance I wasn't one of those babies that could have won beauty pageants....although things have changed. (Just think of me as the ugly duckling turned into a beautiful swan. Right? Right.)

To the point.....

Mother, you forgot I have all the pics.....annndd when I say ALL I mean yours too!

But, we still have an agreement and I love you!!

Out with the old and in with the new

I gave in and tested out the new format that blogger has to offer and I am impressed. It's a ton easier and I like it. Go figure. I think I was just scared of change.

Still breathing.....

....in mounds of studies. Still have good grades.

Might have some exciting news in the next couple of days. I am staying completely optimistic. If anything, spend the next two days sending lots and lots of happy thoughts my way.

I'll explain more in two days.

How's that for anticipation. Trust me....the wait has almost driven me bonkers. :-)

It's the thought that counts....

I do think about the blog. I really do. I think of funny things to post on here and just don't. I'm not sure it's missed by too many though.
But in my defense....is sure is good to see 100's as grades. That makes me very, very happy!!
The play might be over but the homework isn't and I think the trying to get caught up is hard.

I went into hiding for security purposes.....that or I was incredibly busy with a play that is now over. It was fantastic, everyone involved was amazing and I will miss seeing the whole group everyday. When I'm famous I will remember all of them! Then they will be thankful I forced my "autograph" upon them (especially if they haven't already giggled their way strait to a trashcan!)

I've been a bad, bad girl!

Mother is coming in for the day. Time to clean, she'll be here tomorrow.

While putting laundry up, I come across a near full pack of cigarettes.

Oh dear. Temptation creeps in, I light one up. Wonderful, relaxing.....guilt.

Doesn't taste as good as it did.

Sent a text to three next door neighbors.....

cigs in chair....please make sure they're gone before morning.

Ugh...back inside, took a pill (quit smoking) and now it' s time to stop everything and go to bed.

Maybe I should do a security check outside once more.......

then again, night.
