It's a problem from the big kitten's Math class and she got the answer I did - but her teacher has a different answer.....and teacher's answer doesn't make sense. Surely, teacher didn't get that wrong.....did she?Any math geniuses out there that can help a mama Kat out?

She multiplied numerators times the denominators....criss-crossed them. I got the answer u did also. But....I'm years beyond this math. Her answer doesnt seem logical to me.

I didn't catch that. She multipled the first one by the reciprocal of the second.
So she was treating it as a problem that was dividing fractions instead of multiplying.
Ah ha!
I ended up emailing her for help on how she got that and her reply back was a Yes, the answer is 25 1/3.
I feel better.
Whew. That was driving me batty!
